The dust hasn’t yet settled after the battle
King Derwid with his sons, chained like dogs and
Dragged into the presence of the lord invader
With a harp held tight by his chest
Missionary Gwalbert and his servant Ślaz arrive to convert
But see the carnage of their lambs
They hide in the skull crypt to punish themselves but
Princess Lilla comes to beg for help
To her trapped family in the roman tower
“If you accept the vows of chastity, I will try to help you”
Gwalbert informs the young woman in despair
She accepts it immediately and they leave
The servant sets the crypt on fire
In the great hall Derwid stands before Gwinona
He defends himself against her demands
After this trial they take him to dungeon to gouge his eyes out
While Lilla and Gwalbert break through guards to
Stand before her highness and beg for Derwid’s release
She tells him it’s too late as he has been mutilated
Guards bring him again to the hall
Lilla wants to wipe his blood with her long hair
She doesn’t believe a woman could do that to an old man
There will also be a contest for his life

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
